Ca’s Patró March

If what you fancy is eating perfectly grilled fish, prepared with simplicity and garnished with a squeeze of lemon, in an unbeatable setting, overlooking the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean with a glass of chilled white wine in your hand, there is only one place you can go: to Ca’s Patró March!

Its tables are perched on the rocks of Cala Deià, convincingly idyllic, right on the edge of the crystal-clear waters of the cove. The setting is rustic and simple, don’t expect elegance or avant-garde cuisine in this restaurant which only opens in the summer months. People go to Ca’s Patró March for 2 things only: the excellent fresh fish and seafood caught during the day, and the unbeatable seafront location.

The restaurant can be reached by boat, by car (there is a car park about 5 minutes’ walk away), or on foot (it’s a half-hour walk from the village).

During the high season it is not unusual to find all the tables occupied, especially since the restaurant was the location of some scenes in the acclaimed mini-series “The Night Manager“, based on John Le Carré’s novel of the same name.

If you want a candlelit dinner and a taste of Mediterranean haute cuisine, head to the El Olivo restaurant in the Belmond hotel “La Residencia”. Or try Es Racó des Teix, a Michelin-starred restaurant run by Chef Josef Sauerchell, which offers a cuisine of great delicacy and is another essential stop for foodies.
