The nature, culture and traditions of the Serra de Tramuntana invite us to follow its paths and mountain trails. Itineraries such as the Dry-Stone Route (GR221) offer the possibility of stopping at the Can Boi Refuge. Depending on the time of year, when walking along these trails you may come across some of nature’s true spectacles, such as the dramatic Torrent des Racó waterfall, which comes down full of water between the months of October and April.
The refuges of Can Boi, in Deià, and Pont Romà, in Pollença, offer refuge and respite to hikers on the Dry-Stone Route through the Tramuntana mountain range, as well as the chance to savour some of the best traditional Balearic cooking.
Staying in Can Boi is a very practical option for hiking, trekking, cycling and trail running enthusiasts, as they can enjoy their mountain sports all day long without having to think about going home at the end of their activity.
If you stay at Can Boi, take the opportunity to stroll around the village of Deià and discover its interesting sights and monuments, such as the parish church with its hilltop cemetery.
The charm of Deià extends to the cove of the same name, which can be easily reached by following the path called “Camí des Ribassos”. The refuge of Can Boi, located in the very heart of Deià, also provides a comfortable stay for the hot months, when a visit to the crystalline waters of its small cove is a must.
